So, I picked up a set of seats out of an 02ish Silverado reg cab.  These are the 40/20/40 bench style but the middle seat folds down as an armrest/console.  I wanted 3 seats across the front for my daughter to sit in the middle.  I may eventually eliminate the back seat but not sure yet.

My Jimmy came up from Texas and it has floors although they have the usual stress cracks.  I removed the stock old and moldy (literally) buckets and center console box and got a good look at the damage.  Pass side should be an easy fix but the previous owner did a repair on the drivers side that I will have to rework and make it right.  Street signs and sheet metal screws are NOT an acceptable repair in my cars.  The cracking is only where the rear of the seats bolted to the floor.  And after laying the new seats in for a test fit they will bolt in more to the rear of all the cracking.  This works for me cause I don't have to rely on repaired floor to hold the seats, I just need to reinforce the part of the floor the seats will bolt to.

Just setting the seats in for the test fit I thought they were perfect for this old truck.  Way more comfortable than the stock buckets plus the newer built in seat belts allows me to get rid of the old, frayed, moldy and questionable original belts.  I'll have to try and get some pics up as I go...

pics would be cool.  I would love to do this in mine.  My belts suck and the seat has seen better days.  Only problem is the floor in the pickups humps up so the seat may sit too high.

Yeah, it looks like they sit high in the pickups.  http://coloradok5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=264441&page=2 This guy at post #16 removed the seat tracks and built his own and they still look high.  His cage and seat mount are well built though.
