the pinon angle on my 12 bolt is pointing up.  I believe it has been like this ever since i got the truck.  I think this is not good for the u jpoints at all and maybe causing my vibrations around 60mph.

Can I use axle shims to bring the pinon down by installing them backwards?

thanks

pinion is supposed to point directly at the transmission, then DOWN 2 degrees... or something like that.  if your truck is lifted, with lift springs, then they will already have shims on them to correct the pinion angle.
